The primary focus of what we communicate is information about VSDC and vegetarianism in the local community, including information about resources and activities. Although we provide some information about vegetarianism in general, other local organizations have more.
We communicate to the community via our: newsletter, website, email, and other ways. Each has a different focus, although all list upcoming VSDC events.
VSDC News, mailed only to members every three months, is our primary method of communicating with our members.
Our newsletter is the sole source for some information from us, especially:
This website's focus is:
We send an email, usually one each month, only to members, mainly about events in the month ahead and a short message.
We send it only to our members who have provided their email address directly to us. We don't obtain addresses from other sources. We don't subscribe people who contact us for other purposes. And, every member who doesn't renew membership is removed from the list. Therefore, any spam that says it is "from" us, isn't; the "from" address is forged unless your new email address once belonged to a current VSDC member. In any case, you can unsubscribe either by following instructions included with every email, or by contacting us, or replying to the email and requesting we remove you from the list. We don't share the addresses with anyone.
Each coordinator of a recurring event might send out an email, one before each upcoming event, with details about it.
