Donations

The Vegetarian Society of DC is a completely volunteer-run organization, with no paid staff. Therefore, 100% of donations go towards our programs and activities. VSDC is incorporated as a nonprofit organization under IRS code section 501(c)(3), so donations are tax-deductible.

We gladly accept checks via mail or online credit card donations*. If you would like to donate in some other way, please contact us.

For credit card donations, the easiest way to donate is using a PayPal account:

If you don't have a PayPal account, you can donate through Network for Good. Please keep in mind that Network for Good takes 3% for their service.

You can also support VSDC's mission by becoming a member. Thank you!

Donations to VSDC are tax deductible because we are a nonprofit, charitable, educational organization that also prevents cruelty to animals. For more information, see IRS publication 526: Charitable Contributions. If you don't itemize deductions on your tax return, then tax deductibility does not benefit you.
