Contact
For VSDC coordinators
Think about these and tell VSDC
- What do you do and not do?
- What do you want to do and not want to do?
- What help could you use and give?
- What should VSDC do and not do, or do differently?
- On the website, what should change or be added?
VSDC pages with related information
Do it?
- Are there enough volunteers who want to do it?
- Do they want to do it more than other VSDC needs?
- Is it the best use of volunteers for VSDC?
- Can new volunteers help, or are current ones needed?
- Are the benefits to VSDC and vegetarianism worth the expenses?
- Do any fees support a good cause, especially vegetarianism?
- Elsewhere are considerations for deciding whether to do something.
Communication via computer
Ways you may be contacted
- Receive email from contact forms on this website (optional).
- The email coordinator will forward email intended for you and sent to the main VSDC email address.
- The veg-line coordinator will forward voice messages to you.
- Tell VSDC how you may be contacted directly, and where to publicize your contact information.
- Read about VSDC email addresses for coordinators.
Email Spam
Be careful where you put your email address if you don't want it to receive lots of spam and viruses.
To reduce receiving such email, don't put addresses anywhere on the web.
Instead, provide a link to a web site or page where people can find answers and contact information.
Some email lists put all posted messages onto the web for anyone to read.
Feel free to include email addresses in the printed VSDC newsletter.
Never put VSDC email addresses on the web.
- A contact form is on the website's main contact page.
- Additional categories on that contact form can be added.
- We can put additional forms on the website.
- Our web contact forms are processed by TFmail software which sends the email.
- The email address to which a form sends can be hidden, so it can't be harvested to send spam, but it will receive form spam.
- The email recipient for a form can be any vsdc.org email address.
- The subject line can be different for each form and recipient. Generally, the subject includes:
- The two words "VSDC" and "form" so the recipient knows the source of the email.
- a word signifying the general subject, such as "newsletter" or "membership".
- The subject specified by the user of the form.
- In each form, we can put in and omit whatever input fields we want.
- We can customize the web page and email that results after a visitor submits a form.
VSDC planning
Coordinators may attend board planning meetings, and participate in the planning discussion email list.
To attend a board meeting, contact VSDC at least a week before the meeting.
Tentative board meeting dates and times are listed in the newsletter.
Tell us the topics on which you want to receive email from other coordinators.
