These Healthy Cooking Demonstrations are
a project of The Local Food Alliance,
a program of Community Harvest.
Their goal is to change the eating habits of community members in low-income neighborhoods
to reduce the number of diet-related diseases.
At each demonstration, volunteers prepare food and hand out nutrition information and recipes.
They need more volunteers, especially health professionals, nutritionists, and dieticians.
Demonstrations are at six LFA farmers' markets and stands.
