VSDC welcomes all people, at events and as members, wherever they are on the path toward an all plant-based diet. Become a member of VSDC.
Membership in VSDC is open to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. As described above, membership provides many benefits to the member and community. Our membership numbers about 800 people, mostly in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. VSDC receives most of its funding for running the organization from membership dues, although we receive grants to partially cover our nutrition education programs.
To become a VSDC member, print this text form or this PDF form, then fill it in and mail it with a check.
Or, fill in the online form, then print and mail it with a check to join VSDC.
If you don't plan to join VSDC, read reasons not to be a member.
VSDC is incorporated as a nonprofit organization under IRS code section 501(c)(3), so donations are tax deductible.
Donations to VSDC are tax deductible because we are a nonprofit, charitable, educational organization that also prevents cruelty to animals. One example is our Eat Smart program. For more information, see IRS publication 526: Charitable Contributions. If you don't itemize deductions on your tax return, then tax deductibility does not benefit you.
