VSDC Life-Affirming Thanksgiving

people at a round table enjoying dinnerThe Veg Society of DC (VSDC) Life-Affirming Thanksgiving is an annual event that brings together vegans, vegetarians, and non-vegetarians to enjoy compassionate and healthy, vegan food in a wonderful and warm social setting.

The 2017 VSDC Life-Affirming Thanksgiving will be held November 23, from 12-4 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency in Bethesda, Md.

We’re excited to announce Gene Baur of Farm Sanctuary as our featured speaker this year! Mr. Baur, President and Co-Founder of Farm Sanctuary, has been hailed as “the conscience of the food movement” by Time magazine. Since the mid-1980s, he has traveled extensively promoting a vegan diet and lifestyle and campaigning to raise awareness about the abuses of industrialized factory farming and our system of cheap food production.

The programming also includes exhibitors, exciting door prizes, a silent auction fundraiser, an all-ages kids activity, and live music. So join us to celebrate with hundreds of people with a gourmet, all-vegan feast!

We have a delicious and abundant feast planned. The buffet is all-vegan, with non-GMO ingredients, and many gluten-free options.
