Life-Affirming Thanksgiving: THU, Nov 23

The VSDC Life-Affirming Thanksgiving is an annual event that brings together vegans, vegetarians, and non-vegetarians to enjoy compassionate and healthy, vegan food in a wonderful and warm social setting.  The gala and celebration of VSDC’s 90th Anniversary will be held Thursday, November 23, from 12-4 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency in Bethesda, Md.  Deadline for online registration is Sat, November 18.  You must pre-register – absolutely no walk-ins will be allowed.  PLEASE CLICK HERE

DC VegFest 2017: Sat, Sept. 2

DC VegFest is a spectacular, FREE, all-vegan festival in our nation’s capital that features cooking demonstrations, speakers, live music, free food samples, over 130 exhibitors and more!  It was held at the Yards Park (near Nationals Stadium) on Saturday, September 2nd, from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm. Founded in 1997 by the Veg Society of DC, this annual celebration is now organized by Compassion Over Killing.  The event had a children’s activity area and is dog-friendly (dogs kept on a leash). May 13 (Sat) & May 14 (Sun): VSDC is excited and proud to be a Partner with the DC Green Festival and encourages all our members and friends to attend!! VSDC can also use help at our booth in volunteer shifts on Sat and Sun so we can reach thousands of people with our important message that a plant-strong, vegan diet & lifestyle is vital for environmental sustainability. Green Festival® is America’s largest and longest-running sustainability and green living event – a vibrant, dynamic marketplace where people go to learn how to live healthier, more sustainable lives. It offers something for everyone, with the widest selection of products and services to work green, play green and live green from food, fashion and health to energy, construction and design.
