Vegetarian Society of DC

Welcome to the Vegetarian Society of DC!
The Vegetarian Society of the District of Columbia (VSDC) promotes the benefits of vegetarianism through educational and social activities and events throughout the DC metro area.

VSDC events are open to all members and non-members, vegetarians, vegans, future vegetarians, casual vegetarians, and all others but we encourage you to join us to support vegetarian living in the DC area.

VSDC members receive our award-winning quarterly newsletter, VSDC News, and receive valuable discounts at many area restaurants and other businesses through our VSDC GreenRewards®  Discount Program. Welcome to our newest GreenRewards® members: breathe bookstore cafe in funky Hampden (Baltimore) MD; and Mark Rifkin, MS, RD, LDN, of Preventive Nutrition Services. And a special welcome back to The Vegetable Garden who recently reopened their doors in Silver Spring, MD!

If you are looking for someone to speak about the benefits of vegetarianism at an event, consider our
Speakers' Bureau.

VSDC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is governed by an all-volunteer elected Board of Directors. Additional volunteers perform much of the work of VSDC. Donations are gladly accepted.
